October Updates

With the fall semester in full swing, we want to highlight a few opportunities and resources from the American Council on Education that may be of interest to internationalization leaders. Access more resources on campus internationalization from all of the INCI organizations here.

  • ACE has launched “Bringing the World Into the Classroom,” an awards program to recognize and publicize innovative uses of technology that enhance the international learning of undergraduates at U.S. colleges and universities.   • ACE recently released an issue brief, Sizing Up the Competition: The Future of International Postsecondary Student Enrollment in the United States. This short piece examines enrollment trends of internationally mobile postsecondary students in five top destinations: the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France and Australia. It also looks at national scholarship programs, visa policies, and recruitment initiatives in these countries.
  • ACE is hosting the 2009 annual meeting of the Leadership Network for International Education in Washington, DC, on November 10. The meeting will showcase a range of ways to engage in low-cost, high-impact internationalization. The meeting will explore avenues for collaboration such as institutional consortia, networks, and government and private partnerships. This is a meeting for Presidents and Provosts.
